KVBL Natural Leaders camp returned for its 5th year and welcomed over 120 kids with a FREE all natural experience of a lifetime. Veniceball will feature 4 generations of hoopers, top pro athletes, entertainers, DJ’s, live art, world renowned announcers, cheerleaders and more. At the VBL, Sunday Funday is taken to a whole new level! Celebrities scheduled to play and perform include: Chris Brown (Pop Star), Woody Harrelson, George Watsky (HBO), Syrus (Real World), Jay Harrington, Dean Cain (Superman), Bill Bellamy (Any Given Sunday), Jerrod Paige (American Gangster), Brian Larrabee (Iron Man), Dee Shiver (Rush Hour 3), Robbie Jones (90210,)… City officials will be on site to officially proclaim August 18th as Ron Beals Day. As one of the first African American pro ball players, Ron is a legend and role model to many and has been featured in the world famous film “White Man Can’t Jump”. For the past 45 years Ron rode his bike to the Venice Beach Basketball Courts every single day. At 82 years, no longer able to use his legs, he is gracing the courts for possibly his last time. Be there to witness this memorable & historical event this Sunday. Beach Warriors are coached by NBA legend Joe Smith (Lakers). Star point guard 4’5 Streetball phenom Jahmani “Mani Love” Swanson will take it to the top, running alongside slam dunk dominator Michael Blue makes them the crowds favorite as they defend their title.
