Who We Are:
The Venice Basketball league is celebrating it’s 7th year in the making for 2013.
We strive to showcase, entertain and inspire.
VBL A place where the game never stops as we take our competition from the beach to the most legendary courts in California.
Founded by some of Los Angeles’ primary trendsetters, the VBL brings a cool combination of entertainment-style play from LA’s top players to a structured team agenda. Our league ranges from Professional D-Leaguers and NBA draft picks to solid entertainment players, top entertainers and celebrities to college/ high school MVP’s to street ball’s most skilled tricksters. The VBL has evolved from its humble beginnings in 2007 into a reputable roster compiled with the highest of standards in ethics and talent.
What We Do:
The Venice Basketball League consists of 10 selective teams. VBL hoops combined with the sounds of the best DJ’s bring a combination of entertainment-style play and most physical action with No free throws. We follow a structured team agenda and evolved from its humble beginnings in 2007 into a “reputable roster compiled with the highest of standards in ethics and talent.”
This June 2012 Jordan brand invited our all star selection to participate in Quai 54 international tournament in Paris France. VBL went to the semi finals out of 32 teams worldwide. Throughout the year we participate in numerous tournaments, leagues and host weekly FREE clinics at Oakwood.
We also have a traveling team that travels throughout the Midwest to take part in Fund Raising events. TOUR TEAM AND PROGRAM HERE

• The Venice Beach boardwalk the most popular tourist destination in the entire state of California in front of Disneyland

11 VBL players are currently playing professional overseas and will be back for summer ball.

Summer season sponsorship packages are currently being revised as we are locking in event dates and will depend on our distribution deal with networks as we are planning on having VBL televised this summer.

Mission Statement:
Kids Venice Basketball League (KVBL) uses basketball as a catalyst to create a
safe environment for youth around the globe, promoting healthy diets,
leadership, exercise, and sustainable living.
Building upon its tradition of unity and taking advantage of the family atmosphere of Venice Beach, the VBL founded: The Kids Venice Basketball League (KVBL) in 2007. This is a non- profit, 501©3 collaborative committed to empowering the under-privileged children of Los Angeles.
Once a week from winter to fall the KVBL takes place from indoor facilities to the beach. Our focus is to give kids a strong foundation, not only in basketball skills and broadly based health and fitness, but also global awareness and responsibility.
At no cost to the children or their families, KVBL kids are exposed to the following: Yoga instruction from world-renowned Yoga masters; basketball lessons with some of the League’s premier players and other celebrities; fitness facts and training from Vegan nutrition professionals. Gourmet chefs will demonstrate to the kids the simplicity of eating healthy by making together healthy smoothies and lunch. The boys and girls of the camp are also given the opportunity to play in a similarly structured league in the afternoon where kids will shine, earn a nickname and showcase their talent in front of everyone.
