Brad Wright appointed as New Commissioner of The VBL ” There is a new Sheriff in town”

As of July 10th 2011, Commissioner Wright will have full control of enforcing rules and taking disciplinary measures in regards to all VBL games. We believe Mr Wright will bring a lot to our organization with his 30+ years experience in the game. “There is a new Sheriff in town” his name? Mr Wright.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Responsible for 80% of student-athletes going forward to four year universities under scholarships

Successfully working with Academic Coordinator by overseeing progress of all student-athletes in areas of attendance, social issues, tutoring and housing concerns

Retired NCAA Hall Of Fame and Division 1 Championship Coach Denny Crum’s Jersey. He was a former coach and player for the college before transferring to UCLA to play then join the Coaching Staff. This event boosted the attendance and moral for the basketball program.

Several corporate sponsors were negotiated to donate funds for transportation, uniforms, and shoes.

Developed working relationships with high schools in the area to promote continuing education, as well as generating funds for programs by renting gym for high school events.
